Compaq Armada M700 boot problem

I have Compaq Armada M700. Actually I have 4 that I just bought from a
company that erases data for other companies. So everything is gone. I
start it and make sure the bios is set to boot from the CD drive. But
I get the following errors. "PXE-E61: Media test failure, check cable"
and then it tells me to put a bootable disk in the drive.

I've tried the disk but it still stays on that message????

I went to this link "http://www.nocrash.com/ncbbs/msgs/3247.shtml" and
tried most of the suggestions, but to no avail.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks. -- Daniel M

This has nothing to do with Windows XP.

You have a hardware issue.
