Hello--
I am running Microsoft Outlook 2000 (not Express) in "internet mail only"
mode. I am trying to compact my .pst folders. I have found the following
article here.
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/196890/en-us
However, when I do as it says and select a folder and right click on it,
there is no advanced option on the General Tab. I get General, Home Page,
and Auto-Archive tabs.
The General tab contains the folder name, a section that says Type: Folder
containing Mail Items, Location: Inbox and a Description field. Below that
there is a drop down selection box for When posting to this folder use:
(post, forms). At the bottom there is a chekc box for automatically generate
Microsoft Exchange views and a button for folder size. NO Advanced option.
I desperately need to compact my .pst files as I have done with other
Outlook versions in the past on other computers. Please help me.
Thanks,
J
