"Compacting database"

Hello

To compact Vista Database, what is the best :
* vista compacting
or
*WMUtil: http://www.oehelp.com/WMUtil/Default.aspx written by Steve Cochran

I ask this question because, 2 months ago, I let Vista to compact the
Database and somes days after, I had problems with the "deleted folder". Il
had to recreate all my folders.

As far as I know, they both do the same thing.
Any problem that occurred after a compaction was probably a coincidence.

They both do the same thing. My WMUtil program makes it somewhat easier.
My program also has a repair facility that WinMail doesn't utilize.

If you either update to Vista SP1
(http://windowshelp.microsoft.com/Windows/en-US/windowsvistasp1.mspx) or
install this patch (http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx/kb/941090).
Either will fix the issue with the deleted items problems.
