Compact On Close

Is there any way to set the Compact On Close feature for a MDE? Our FE has
lots of temp tables - they tend to bloat after time. A2K3 has this Compact
On Close option, but information on it in Help is scarce. I was wondering -
if I set that option then compile my app will the MDE compact every time it
is closed?

What happens when you try this?

Another approach is to create a "temp tables" .mdb file, and link to the
tables there. This way, your front-end/MDE can avoid the bloat.

If you set the Compact on Close option in the MDB, the MDE will carry that
option with it. The MDE should compact on closing.
