Common file folder opens at start up

my Common file folder opens at start up now (problem began after two failed
attempts to download trial versions of Adobe photoshop).
I've looked for it in start up and I don't see it...I can't figure out what
causes it to open at start up.

Download Startup Tracker application from this page:
http://www.dougknox.com/xp/utils/xp_starttrack.htm

Launch the program, and click the "View log" button. Post the contents of
the log file here.

Why would I need to download an application that isn't Microsoft? ...are you
saying that XP doesn't have something to show and control the startup?

I'd rather not install something I don't know anything about.

are you saying that XP doesn't have something to show and control the
MSINFO32 is certainly there, but i prefer Doug's startup tracker as it
formats the entries correctly (exactly as it's in the registry) as I feel
it's a better startup tracker application than MSINFO32.

No problem. I'm not forcing you to download the tool.

Your caution is well-placed, but this particular something is by Doug Knox,
a long-time MVP and one of the most trusted names to be found here. You
should have no fear of downloading and installing anything from his site.
