Common Client User error message

Does someone can help me with this error message " Common Client user session
has encounter a problem and need to close"... I can't connect to the internet
anymore

Additional information to my problem: my PC is connected to a router that has
IP address on the range 192...; following this error my computer get an IP
address starting by 169...
When I ask for Ipconfig / release and then renew.. the PC can't do it and i
get the followign error: "An error occured while renewing interface Local
Area Connection: An operation was attenpted on something that is not a
socket".
Help!!

The Common Client app (CCAPP.EXE) is part of your Norton Antivirus package,
so I'd start by uninstalling and reinstalling it.
