I am trying to increase the size of the font on the comments. I have been
told to "Modify the Comment Text style." I have searched for the method to
do that but have not been successful. Here is what I have tried:

1. Highlighted the text in the comment and clicked on 16 in the font size.
Nothing happened.

2. Right-clicked on the comment container and selected "Font" from the
shortcut menu. Selected 16 pts for the font size. Nothing happened.

3. Checked some books on Comments and found nothing helpful.

4. Ran a "Help" search both online and the internet and found nothing.

If the answer is "Modify the Comment Style", PLEASE give me instructions on
how to do it.

Thanks

Hi there,

I'll try to help you. If you want to modify a style, click on Format|Style.
This will open up the Styles and Formatting Taskpane on the right side of
your screen. At the bottom of the taskpane, click on Show: All Styles. If
you do not see the Comment style after that, then go back and click on Show:
Custom and select Comment Text from the resulting dialog box. You can then
modify the format of the style and change the font size.

I hope this has been helpful to you.

Thanks... That seems to work.

Hello-

I'm trying to modify the style for comment text (2003). When I select Show |
Custom, the dialog box that should open fails to appear. What might I, in my
near-infinite wisdom, have done to discourage it, and how can I woo it back?

Thanks,
Wyoh

'Tisn't. Matters not which document I open. The obnoxious question is whether
it's something stupid I've done, or whether a coworkekr was trying to be, er,
helpful in her or his off hours.

It's hardly a matter of life and death, but it does annoy. Thanks for trying.
