Can not open a command prompt window
If I use the cmd command from the run window the command
prompt window opens and just closes right away same thing
if I go to start/programs/accessories/command prompt (no
icon it's grayed out for the command prompt) same if I go
to the system32 folder and try to run it
Any idea
Win XP Pro
Thank you,
RGray

.

My first instinct on this one is that system policies are
keeping you from doing it, but there's also the
possibility that cmd.exe simply isn't on your computer
anymore. Have you looked for it in Windows Explorer?

Try right clicking your desktop and choosing New..Shortcut. For the
shortcut use
C:\WINNT\system32\cmd.exe. Name it DOS Prompt or "whatever".
