command.com error?

I have seen on several machines, when i run command.com from run, a dos
window opens. At the top of this window it sometimes says on one machine
"Cannot load VDM IPX/SPX support". On another machine it says "file not
found". How can I fix this problem?

XP does not install IPX/SPX network protocol during installation. IPX/SPX
was to original Novell network protocol, which they are abandoning or have
abandoned.

VDM IPX/SPX support -- is this a problem VDMSound -- ad module where you can
play DOS games with a Sound Blaster emulation???

Well one one machine was connected to a novel network, but I thought I
removed that. How can I remove this?
