Novice2000

Hi,
I am just learning Access 2007 and have created a Search Button on a form
that can be used to search all fields. Problem is the pop-up has two tabs
"Search" and "Replace". I do not want to give people the option of replacing
any data by mistake. This was not a problem with Access 2000.

Also, if you search and navigate away from the form when you return the
search criteria is greyed out and you have to close out the pop-up and start
over.

Any solutions to either of these is greatly appreciated.

I think you will have to create your own search code rather than rely on the
boilerplate code Access provides.
Post back if you are interested in doing that....
