come on people-narrator is a problem

almost every answer said to go to "Ease
of Access,,,, like no one could figure THAT out! It does not shut off
even if you go to ease of,,, When ppl come back asking the same question
over and over, maybe the answer is wrong?
Is it possible to just remove it from --" E:\Windows\System32\narrator.exe"
what about a registry change, because ease of access is not doing it!
This can not be all that hard to fix!
I thank you very much for your time and would really appreciate if someone
actually looked into the problem, instead of just giving some help desk
answer.

Peace be with

Works here. "Exactly" where are you going to turn it off. You didn't really
say.

Hartfree on another thread about the same wrote:

In vista Contral Panel, go to Control Panel>Ease of Access Center>then select
the item "Use the computer without a display" You should be able to disable
it here by
unchecking the Turn On Narrator

It does work....the key thing is to log onto "Use the computer without a
display" and untick all boxes...honest it works...

Good Evening EADES,

I feel spookn's frustration as the same thing happens to me. Ever since I
turned on my new computer and played around with the new bells and whistles,
I have not been able to turn Narrator off. I have followed your instructions
and it still remains on. It only turns on after I log off my user account.
On the page where all the user accounts show up. I don't turn my computer
off unless I need to do a restart, but when I log off each night, it comes up
then in a minimized state. I have tried to turn off in the control panel and
also in the Ease of Access button on that first page with the user accounts.
I have unchecked all boxes to no avail. At least it no longer shows up in my
user account when I log in as well, only when I log off. Does this help? I
would really like to have it removed.
