comcast newsgroups

I want to use Comcast newsgroups. When I go to download the groups a user
name and password window keeps popping up so the groups never download. I
configured the account according to Comcast but obviously something is
wrong. Any clues?

It was written for Outlook Express but should also work under Windows Mail
if you avoid the One Click Fix.
