Combo Box No Longer Working in Secured Db

Hi, all,

I'm running Access '03 and Windows XP Professional. I created a form in a
database with a combo box that works. Then I created a workgroup, ran the
security wizard, and created user accounts. I logged on as an administrator,
opened a new blank database, and imported all of the objects into the new db
so the security would "stick" as that's what the SecFAQ documented suggested.

Here's my problem: Now the combo box won't allow me to select any of the
items on the the list. The combo box has a correctly-spelled Control Source.
The Row Source Type is a Value List that's also populated. I tried giving
the users <Update Data> permissions to the underlying tables and queries, but
still no luck. Any suggestions?

Thanks so much for your help!

If you did things in that order (which isn't the order outlined in the FAQ), then your database isn't secure. When you import into a new database, the permissions don't travel with the imported objects.

What error message do you get? It's possible that the recordsource for the form isn't updateable.
