That site says following;
"Windows Media Professional Exhibitor, Version 2.0.1.3
This powerful tool is intended for playback of Windows Media files at
full-screen resolution at all times. All transport and playlist controls
appear on a second monitor allowing for a theatrical viewing experience. When
used in combination with PCI-Express video cards that support DirectX Video
Acceleration, the Windows Media Professional Exhibitor offers superior
playback performance for HD-resolution content."
I am not displaying media files. I just want to combile to monitors to
create a 2560x1024 desktop. The taskbar would extend across the to monitors
because they would be only one Screen made up of 2 monitors.
You didn't mention whether your video card was a Nvidia or an ATI. The
control panel is a bit different for each of them.
In this picture of an Nvidia "Classic" control panel, you can see
that "Span" mode is the one you'd want. My assumption is, the two
connectors would be on the same Nvidia video card.

I don't know what options exist, if you have one monitor on an Nvidia
card, and one monitor on an ATI card. In that case, you may have to
rely on whatever is offered in the Windows control panel.
