combining 3 workbooks

This sounds like Excel 1.01, but never before have I
attempted combining data except one or two sheets at a
time (which was easily accomplished by a simple copy +
paste).

I have received 3 separate files containing some 25 tabs
EACH of market segment sheets of identical design (all
populated with data). What is the most efficient and
safest way to combine all three workbooks into one?

Is the answer to choose one of the workbooks as the
anchor, create 35 new blank sheets and attempt to copy
the second workbook in a single operation? Repeat the
process by copying the contents of the 3rd workbook? I
suspect there must be a "smarter" way but I cannot find
it in online Help

Here's one way:

1-Open all three workbooks.
2-From any of the workbooks, Window > Arrange > Vertical > OK.
3-In one of the workbooks, right-click a worksheet tab and Select all
Sheets.
4-Drag the sheets and drop them into the "anchor" workbook (press and hold
Ctrl to copy them).
5-Repeat Steps 3 and 4 for the other workbook.
6-Ungroup the worksheets (right-click a worksheet tab and Ungroup Sheets) in
the workbooks you copied from.

Or you could copy the sheets from the three workbooks into a fourth. In any
case, I would copy the sheets rather than move them, as a safety precaution.
