Colours in Office 2000

I have been trying to fine tune, a particular colour (orange) for a logo.
Using the rgb colour selector I find that the colour changes in steps, e.g.
for about a 10 step increment in one of the colours. Smaller increments
don't have any effect. Is this a limitation in Word 2000, and is 2003
better? BTW, I have my screen set up on 32-bit (highest) setting. Bill

Hi Bill,

All 65 million color combinations are supported
but the change may be too slight for you to see
it on screen (96 pixels per inch) or the brightness
contrast or gamma settings for your monitor may affect
this or the color management settings for your printer.

If you're copying it from another onscreen source you
can download and use an 'eyedropper' style utility
or color mixer or color wheel utility to 'pick' and 'paste'
a color match.

Thanks fo your comments, though I still think there is something wrong, as
the shade changes quite suddenly after say 10 increments, while the smaller
increments all seem to produce an identical hue.

Hi Bill,

A 10 click change in a single value in R G or B
is just under a 4% change of that hue, so I'd expect that to
be fairly noticable.

Have you tried using a color picker tool or website
to determine the color mix you need?
