I have a very curious problem. I installed XP
Professional over Win 98. Encountered a few problems
during the install but it completed ok and upon subsequent
booting of the computer it came up seemingly perfectly.
Nice colorful graphic as wallpaper as expected.
However, as soon as I activate any application (Explorer
for example) all of the nice colors turn to grey
tones...except that objects show up in color (for example
the exit "X" button).
When I call up the help screen to try to figure out what
is going on I can't even read some of the help text
because the text is white on a white background.
Has anyone else seen this? And, if so, what do I do to
correct it?
