Color of type has changed in "My Computer" listing.

Recently the color of the type that says "Hard Drive (C:)" in the "My
Computer" list has changed from black to blue as have random folders and
items within "Hard Drive (C:)". For instance, the words; "BJPrinter",
"Documents and Settings" and "debug.log" are blue. While the words, "Temp",
"WINDOWS" and "Program Files" are black

The words "31/2 Floppy (A:)", "Local Disk (D:)", "Plextor DVD (E:)",
"DVD-RAM Drive (F:)", "My Book (G:)" are all still black as are the
listings, if any, inside these drives.

Is this a symptom of an underlying, or upcoming, problem or a special
feature of Windows XP SP2 to add color to my day?

These are compressed NTFS files and are normal. If you don't like the
color, you can turn them off:

In Windows Explorer, Tools --> Folder Options --> View tab, uncheck "Show
encrypted or compressed NTFS files in color" and click OK.
