Color formating between programs

I am having a serious problem matching the colors I am using in PowerPoint with other programs. I have tried coping the cmyk palette numbers and creating images in illustrator but when it comes back into PowerPoint It is a completely different color. I have tried every format. I finally thought I had a solution with TIFF but it turned out that it only worked with one color and only on my computer. The RGB numbers are useless as in PhotoShop and Illustrator, the programs that any real designer uses the RGB colors are not measured in percentages of 100. I am desperate for a solution.

PowerPoint is RGB based. I use Photoshop almost exclusively and for
PowerPoint I create everything in RGB and use the Save for Web feature. I
reserve CMYK for print work. For monitor, projector, and web I stick with
RGB.
