close,max.,min buttons size correcting

The close, maximize and minimize "buttons" in the top
right corner are half the size as normal and I have tried
adjusting overall fonts, pixel size etc., but nothing has
returned the buttons to the original size. They still
function alright, but the arrow needs to be carefully
aimed to use these controls.

Suggestions? Thanks.

Specifically, have you tried adjusting the Control Panel, Display, "Caption
Buttons" size setting? I believe the buttons size are also set based on
the font of the Active Title Bar .
