clock gains time

I have a Presario 6016US. My clock gains several minutes a day. I keep
re-setting it and within a week it is 19 minutes fast. I contacted HP and
they gave me a link for a softpac, but when I click on the link it says the
Page Cannot Be Displayed. I tired the Atomic Clock and still have the
problem.
Can anyone help me? Would a new clock battery help?

Thanks,
Shirley

Hi Shirley,

Suggestion:

Go to Start/Run and type in: cmd
At the prompt, type in:

1. Start->Run cmd.exe
2. net stop w32time
3. w32tm /unregister [ignore error message]
4. w32tm /unregister
5. w32tm /register
6. net start w32time
