I have my System tray set at two rows high. The clock in the quick
launch area shows the time and the day of the week. I would like it
to also show the date. Can I do that?

Yes, you can. If you put the taskbar double high it automatically shows the
time, day, and date. But if your font is to big or your theme your using
doesn't allow the proper height, then the date might not fit. Try playing
with or changing the theme or fonts sizes.
