Clipboard contents erase upon loading Microsoft FrontPage. Fix?

Cut or copy something into the Clipboard from any open application, without
MS FrontPage running. Now, start up MS FrontPage and attempt to paste what
you've cut or copied. It's not there! I know this is just a small nuisance,
but I'm wondering if there is a fix for this? None of the other MS Office
2003 applications erase the clipboard upon loading. Is there a reason that
MS FrontPage does this?

Any help appreciated. Thanks!

I'm running XPSP2/FP2003/Office2003. Here's a simple example (which I just
tried again... starting with FP2003 not open):

1. Opened Notepad and typed "Brian"
2. Highlighted my name and did an Edit>Cut
3. Opened PowerPoint 2003, clicked into the middle of a slide and did an
Edit>Paste, which, as you would expect, pasted my name onto the slide.
4. Opened FP2003, clicked into the editor (design view)... nothing to paste.

Step 3 above was only done to show that it really was there. I can go to
any other application, whether it's open or has to be opened and paste to my
heart's content, but the clipboard clears once FP2003 is opened.

Even the following scenario happens:

1. Opened Notepad and typed "Brian"
2. Highlighted my name and did an Edit>Cut
3. Start FP2003, but minimize it and return to Notepad.
4. Attempt to paste... again, it's gone (clipboard is empty).

FrontPage is the only application that causes this to happen on my system.
It seems to me that I've had it happen on other computers that I've used with
FP2003 and isn't unique to just this machine. I have all the latest updates
of Office and XP running... this occurred before as well as now.

Is there a hidden setting in FP to "clear clipboard upon load?" Again, any
help appreciated.

Try using Edit | Copy instead of Edit | Cut in step 2 of your test and see if you get the same
results.

The same result occurs. It also doesn't seem to matter whether shortcut keys
Ctrl+C, Ctrl+V, etc. or the menus are used. Basically, once FP is started,
the clipboard is clear of content.

I should note that it is only the loading of FP2003 that seems to clear the
clipboard. Once FP is loaded, I can make a new cut/copy and paste between
any applications. Again, this is more of a nuisance than anything else...
just have to remember to have FP open ahead of time if I plan to paste
something into it. I thought this was more of a global issue than it appears
to be. No one else experiences this?

It wouldn't impact me because I always copy and paste stuff into Notepad first, then from Notepad to
FP or any other application.

All as described below works for me. I'm thinking you have an option set
somewhere, either in the System clipboard, the Office clipboard or FrontPage
clipboard that is causing this.

It does seem to me I saw an app option asking if I wanted the clipboard
cleared every time existing a program. Can't remember now, sorry. Also not
sure if that was the office clipboard or the system clipboard.
