Client Services for Netware

When I go to User Accounts in Control Panel and click on "Change the way
users log on or off," I get a message saying I must uninstall Client
Services for Netware. What does this program do, and how do I uninstall
it? I do not see it anywhere under add and remove programs.

Hi Bob,

You will find it in the properties of your network connection (just right
click it from the network connections folder and select properties). Do not
uninstall it if your network relies on this protocol. Whether or not it does
depends on the type of connection you have, generally this protocol is used
in an office environment and is not typical for the home user relying on a
TCP/IP connection to the internet.

I have a cable connection. I use both the lan connection on my PC and a
wireless connection with my wireless router. Is it OK to delete this
program?

If you don't need the Novell Client to connect to a LAN:

Start > Network Connections > Right-click on the desired connection >
Properties > General > High-light the Client Services for Novell >
Uninstall.

Hi,

As Bruce has indicated, this protocol is not necessary for a Home lan
connection. If you find that it is, you can always reinstall it the same way
as you are about to use to remove it.
