I was trying to us NTBackup on one of my customer computers but it is not
found or loaded. I try browsing the OS CD but can't find the .exe. How can
I find and download NTback? I have also try using, the run command,
"NTbackup" and the system tools but NT backup is nowhere to be found. The
client is in the same OU as twenty other computers, other don't have this
problem. The cleint was re-image about three months ago, by another IT
professional.

I need to back up this client...

Hi,

What version of XP, Home? Pro?

If Pro the file is called NTBACKUP.MSI

If Home it's on the CD..
X:\VALUEADD\MSFT\NTBACKUP where X is the CD Drive Letter.

All the best,
SG

Backup is installed automatically on XP Professional, but not on XP
Home. If you have the complete XP Home CD, find backup on the CD, in
\ValueAdd\MSFT\NTBACKUP and install it yourself by doubleclicking the
file ntbackup.msi.

If you don't have an XP CD, you can download ntbackup.msi at
http://www.onecomputerguy.com/software/ntbackup.msi Also see
http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=302894

However, as backup utilities go, this is probably the poorest choice
available. I recommend that you use a third-party utility instead,
such as the excellent Acronis True Image.

Ricky,

I have download the .exe, but when launch, it either doesn't have permission
or path error. However, when I log on as Adminstrator, I can run NTbackup.
All other computers in the OU doesn't have this problem. Clients can run
thier own NTbackup utility.

Can you help
