clicking hyperlinks in outlook 2007

Whenever I click a hyperlink in an email Outlook, a box pops up and asks me
which program I want to use to open the link instead of just going to the
website. The program it is trying to open does not include http:// at the
beginning. When I click on the web browser it opens it, but it should do this
automatically.

I have the same problem. But, I didn't understand your answer. Could you

If the pop-up window is called Locate Link Browser your default Internet
browser isn't registered correctly and it asks you to locate it for Outlook.
When that happens use the browse button in the dialog to browse to
IEXPLORE.EXE (Internet Explorer).

I am having exactly the same problem. The pop-us window in not called
Locate Link Browser, the window says: "Windows Cannot open this
file". I tryed selecting "Select the program from a list", clicking
ok, I then get the Open With dialog box, then I select Internet
Explorer. I also check the box for "Always use the selected
program..."

The next time I click on a hyperlink in outlook (even the same link) I
get the same problem
