Click once using localhost?

Daniel

Hey guys

I am using clickonce which i love btw. However for testing i am deploying to
localhost.

But i wanted to test with someone remotely and i have my home pc hooked up
as a web server.

So i gave a link out of http://xx.xx.xx.xx/publish.html with my ip.

They can see the publish.html page. when the click install it tries to
install an fails. I noticed that the Deployment url says my localhost name
and not the ip address? Why?!

I went back to the drawing board and thougth ok i will publish to
http://xx.xx.xx.xx/ instead of http://localhost . and then it wanted me to
give a username and pasword to finish publishing, and none of my username
and passwords worked for that? I have administrator access whats the deal?

So why oh why oh why is it not working?

As a quick test, try setting the publish location to localhost (so your
computer knows where to spit the files), but the installation and
update locations to the IP (so clients know where to look).
