Clearing cached login names

T

Tim

XP caches login names that have ever been used to login to network shares or
..NET Passport service. It doesn't seem to store the list of cached logins
in the system registry because I ran a registry search using one of the
logins and couldn't find a match. I need to clear the list of cached logins
on my computer. Any ideas how I can do this?

Thank you...

Hi Tim,

You can remove the stored network and passport logins from the following
location.

You can access it one of two ways.
1.) Start - Control Panel - User Accounts - Click on a User - Click on
Manage my network passwords under Related Tasks on the left.
2.) Start - Run - control keymgr.dll

Once you have opened this, click on the ones you would like removed and
clicked Remove.

Hope this helps.

Thanks.

Click Start | Run | "Control Userpasswords2" | Advanced | Manage Passwords
Delete your username (.NET association) from the list.

Disable Storage of Credentials and .NET Passwords
