Hi
I seem to have made a mistake when buying my cpu. I wanted an athlon 3000 NEWCASTLE, but what I have is athlon 3000 CLAWHAMMER.
The clawhammer has an L2 cache 512kb, which is the same as the Newcastle.
The question is am I losing out in any way by having the Clawhammer?

The truth is, ClawHammer and Newcastle only has the difference of an NX. Same as what Me__2001 said. The NX doesn't do much of a difference. Don't ask what NX is though, silly =P. Some type of an acronym AMD was hoping people would like becuase of its sound and would upgrade the Clawhammer 3000 to a 3000 Newcastle. If you did purchase a newcastle, you would only get like a 2 fps max difference in gaming. Nothing in work or design
