Has anyone found the cure to the Reason 442: Cannot enable Virtual Adaptor
error? I've tried all versions of the client, up to 5.0.00.0090

Thanks,
Mike

I got my version (I downloaded about 4 different versions all the way up to 5 before getting it to work with 4.8.02.0010) working a few days ago. However out of the blue today I'm getting the 442 error. This is so frustrating. I don't understand why mine was working perfectly and now is not working at all.

Hey guys
The fix for 442 is simple - just tick 'Allow Local LAN Access' on the
Transport tab of connection properties.
Good luck!

Hi rawel,

I already have that option selected, and I still get the problem of
not enabling the virtual adapter 9 out of 10 times I try to connect.

Thanks
Rob

I'm sorry you are experiencing trouble. However, it's not likely that this is
a problem with Vista, but rather with the Cisco VPN, since it plugs directly
into the stack. Please follow-up with Cisco and ask for a Vista-compatible
VPN client. We will also report this to Cisco.

A few people here have reported that all was well with Vista RTM..
it's only after a couple of the most recent updates that Cisco VPN
stopped working?
