Chkdsk / windows 20000 (win 2k) / Linux partition problem

I receive the following error after the win 2k start up screen...

Checking file system on
\\?\Volume{3ab49813-4dad-11d8-b74d-906d6172696f}
The type of the file system is FAT32.

One of your disks needs to be checked for consistency. You
may cancel the disk check, but it is strongly recommended
that you continue.
Volume Serial Number is 7087-EC77
The specified disk appears to be a non-windows 2000 disk.
Do you want to continue? (Y/N) No

And then in the the event viewer under system I have the following
error...

Event Type: Error
Event Source: Service Control Manager
Event Category: None
Event ID: 7022
Date: 1/24/2004
Time: 12:52:44 PM
User: N/A
Computer: GENESIS
Description:
The Logical Disk Manager service hung on starting.

My partitions are as follows...

Disk /dev/hda: 40.9 GB, 40982151168 bytes
255 heads, 63 sectors/track, 4982 cylinders
Units = cylinders of 16065 * 512 = 8225280 bytes

Device Boot Start End Blocks Id System
/dev/hda1 * 1 2550 20482843+ 7 HPFS/NTFS
/dev/hda2 2551 4982 19535040 f Win95 Ext'd (LBA)
/dev/hda5 4820 4982 1309266 82 Linux swap
/dev/hda6 2551 4819 18225679+ 83 Linux

Partition table entries are not in disk order

As near as I can tell win 2k is having a problem with the Linux
partitions and it tries to run chkdsk. Is there anyway to disable win
2k from trying to run chkdsk on linux partitions every time the
computer reboots?

As a follow-up I tried deleting my linux partitions and then
reinstalling the windows 2k boot manager. That got of the error
message. But when I reinstalled Linux I got the same message again.
It was suggested to me that Linux needs to be installed last for win
2k and Linux to work together. Well that doesn't seem to be the case.

I got it to work finally... I had to format my HD in this format for
it to work. Using Grub on the MBR.

Disk /dev/hda: 255 heads, 63 sectors, 4982 cylinders
Units = cylinders of 16065 * 512 bytes

Device Boot Start End Blocks Id System
/dev/hda1 * 1 2550 20482843+ 7 HPFS/NTFS
/dev/hda2 2551 2554 32130 83 Linux
/dev/hda3 2555 2685 1052257+ 82 Linux swap
/dev/hda4 2686 4982 18450652+ 83 Linux

Hope this helps others...
