I was a bit board so i thouhgt ill just get my comp. up to spec.
I checked for Spyware & Viruses, compressed old data (zip) and defragged my
PC. Then i ordered a chkdsk. The usual note came up saying it will start when
i boot the next time. I restarted my comp. and when it started it said it
cant access the drive directly!? Then it just continued starting XP.
The problem is it does it every time i start my computer.
Is there a registrykey or an option anywhere to disable it when i boot?
Thx for your patience.
Ive got SP2 and no, i havnt swapped the jumpers or cables on my harddrive.
ps. it has always worked up to now and it works fine when i start it from
the command prompt. AND: I didnt do anything which would effect the core
system files.
