Chinese characters taking over text in other programs

I installed Chinese character support so I can type in Chinese as well as
English but it turned the text and menus in my Intel ProSet Wireless program
into Chinese. I have contacted Intel that said it was a Sony laptop problem
who then said it was a Windows problem. I can no longer view help files in
this program or menu boxes in English. I appreciate any help. Thanks.
