Check Disk Problems

I ran a check disk last night, put it on at 2.30am and it was still
unfinished at 10am, it finished doing its thing at 10.30am and when it
rebooted it asked if I wanted to run windows normally, I clicked yes. But
when it start going through thr phases of restarting it went straight to the
check disk again, I stopped it from running and tried to reboot again. Again
the same thing, I finally let it do the check disk again and it said had
finished checking that there were no errors, now I cannot get it to go into
my normal desktop screen, how do I return it out of the check disk screen.
This is the last time I am going to do a check disk, thank God for my laptop,
I need an urgent answer on this please.

What I mean is that it is staying on the blue screen that it works on when
doing the normal check desk, if I reboot, it just goes into check desk mode
again, and does not return me to my normal destop where all my programs are

Thanks for trying to help, this was not the problem, unplugged my HP printer
scanner but it is still doing the same, won't even startup in a safe mode,
just seems to hang in one place and doesn't move. The 2nd solution does not
help either as I cannot get into the start menu to change anything
This is becoming a real pain
Appreciate you trying to help though

I'd say you have 3 options.

Repair Install
This will try to fix the current Windows Installation without altering your
personal files.

Parallel Install
This will create a new Windows Installation in a different directory without
altering your personal files.

Clean Install
This will wipe out everything and start with a clean slate.

If there is a physical/hardware issue, then probably none of these will fix
problem. May have to replace hard drive. etc.
