Cheap replacment carts for Canon i450?

P

Peabody

The local Cartridge World shop wants $12.50 to refill a BCI-24C
(Canon retail is $18).

But I see that Supermediastore sells their replacement for the 24C
for $2.40, and the 24B for $1.76. Plus shipping, of course.
Re-inks has them for a little more.

I have no experience with anything but genuine Canon ink. Do these
inexpensive versions actually work? Pigmented ink like Canon's 24B?

Well, it's only a $50 printer, so it's no huge loss if the
replacements ruin the printer, but is there a reasonable chance
these things will work ok?

Also, are there better places to get these than the two I described?

You can refill too.

AFAIK, it will be dye ink for colour, pigment for black.

You will read pros and cons about compatible ink cartridges but I
personally feed two i860 inkjets with ink from SuperMediaStore and
others and they've all worked well. I do keep some Canon black on
hand for emergencies but those emergencies usually turned out to be
head cleaning, etc.

A RIP OFF. BEST TO USE GENUINE CANON.

Rather go OEM maybe.
Or refill to save more. And whn that printer does go, you can use the
leftover ink in a new Canon BCI6 or CLI8 printer.
HAPPY CLOGGING
Possibly

Some might Some might not. That class of printer uses dye for color,
pigment for black text.
NEVER BUY NONAME INK. THE RELABELERS WILL NOT TELL YOU WHAT YOU ARE

Not if you buy from a premium vendor, you can trace the source of their
bulk ink to a quality manufacturers.

iink will work.

I generally won't recommend prefilled carts.
I DO NOT BELIEVE THIS

Well do. Many people use aftermarket ink (refills and aftermarket carts)
in their printers and have not problem.

Nope, documented fact aftermarket ink saves money compared to OEM, if in
if it destroys the printer after a few refills.
I AM REALLY LAUGHING HA HA HA

It is a fact that BCI24 is the same ink formula as BCI6/BCI3e-BK uses.

He will do fine with aftermarket refilling.
ABSOLUTELY. THEY WILL CLOG THE PRINT HEAD

And you don't have that experience to KNOW it will not.
THERE IS NONE

There are too, Hobbicolor, MIS, Alotofthings, AtlaantikInkjet for some.
And with some resarch, you can fine who manufactures their ink.
NO YOU CANNOT. DO NOT LISTEN TO THIS RELABELER

You can. It is a simple fact that is discussed here, and on various other
forums, and even on the ink manifacturers and/or vendors websites.

use OEM, if you can help it.
THE MAJORITY OF INKJET USERS USE OEM INK

True, but a significant number of avreage users sucessfully use
aftermarket ink products.
LIAR LIAR PANTS ON FIRE

While its true you haven't had clogs with OEM, it is fact other have had
no clogs after as long a time, using aftermarket inks.

Measkite is a bit off today.
His clogs are inky-stinky.
His butt is clogged and he takes it out on all the users of this forum.
When he disappears for a few days you know he is flowing more freely.

Likeky, but some people print for the now, not the long term.
HAVE YOU SPEND A FEW THOUSAND DOLLARS FOR A CHEMICAL ANALYSIS

No, but all the aftermarket bulk ink sellers sell the same formula for
BCI24 and BCI6, that should tell you something.
HOW DO YOU KNOW

Becasue I filled BCI24 myself, and they are VERY easy to refill.
