Changing Windows 2000 system to new Windows xp syster (both are diff config)

Hi Friends,

We plan to change our old spec. system (windows 2000) to new a new pc
with window xp pro.


I need some simplest method of migration/restore the data includes
mail, application and files to the new pc.


Its more than 200 system we have replace.


Pls suggest me with good solution and also with checklist

There is no way to move the programs intact if you do a clean install.
Programs will need to be reinstalled from the original media. Backup data
files and restore those. One tool to help migrate settings is the Files and
Settings Transfer Wizard (FAST). Here is a link for how that works.

Another options is to do an upgrade with XP Pro rather than a clean install.
This would maintain programs and settings. Run the Windows XP upgrade
advisor for info on compatibility of components and software.
