Changing Weekend

While using the NETWORKDAYS worksheet function , I have
Saturdays and Sundays as Weekends. I want to change the
weekend to Thursday and Friday ( the reason since I am
living in the Arab region) and make Saturday and Sunday
as working days.

I don't know if this will work but try changing the
Regional settings to Turkish in the control Panel.

Start, Settings, Control PAnel, Regional Settings - and
select Turkish (or other) from the lilst of options.

Peter

Maybe you could just offset your dates in your formula:

just subtract 2 from both the start and end:

=NETWORKDAYS(A1-2,B1-2)

Just add 2 days to each of the dates you supply as arguments. i.e. if the correct dates are in
A1 and A2, =NETWORKDAYS(A1+2,A2+2). If you have a holiday list, you'll have to add 2 days to
each date on that list, maybe via a formula in a column to the right, then specifying that 2nd
column as the holiday list rather than the "real" holiday dates.

I think you need to ADD rather than subtract, Dave.

Example: you want the number of workdays between 10/1 (Wed) and 10/4 (Sat), where Thu and Fri
are holidays. Per "manual" calculation, the correct result is 2 (i.e. Wed and Sat)

If you subtract 2, you'll get 4. Reason: Wed-Sat is treated as Mon-Thu, which are all working
days in the US. You want Wed-Sat to be treated as Fri-Mon; to do that, you add 2.
