Changing the default text size in windows mail

Ever since I upgraded IE to the most current version, I'm having difficulties
with Windows Mail. The default text size, when I open Mail, is "medium". I
change it in the view menu to largest but once I close and reopen Mail, it
defaults back to medium text size. Is there a way to PERMANENTLY change this
default setting without going in and resetting all the time?

open windows mail and go to tools, options, click on compose tab. and you
will see a mail font option. you can pick your style of font and size there,
once you have done that click apply and then ok. you should not have to
touch it again (unless you want to change it

If you mean the latest IE8 beta, it is not compatible with Windows Mail.
Uninstall IE8, which will then revert back to IE7.

Gary- thanks....that did the trick! I wish, though, that MSFT would have had
some sort of warning/notice to Windows mail users that the upgrade was not
compatable. I have a number of family members who upgraded, who like myself,
and have had problems. It should be prominently displayed prior to making an
upgrade decision.

That IE8 release was clearly marked as a beta test. The release notes
for that beta have the usual standard disclaimer stating that, since this is
a beta version, one can expect bugs. Often Microsoft doesn't know all the
incompatibilities when they start a new beta.
