I am looking for a simple program to change the tempo (but not th
pitch) in MP3 files. It can be low quality since I only need it fo
voice
For example, if I record a talk show and have a file of 1 hour,
want to "compress" it so it plays back faster
I can do this with Windows Media Player during playback by clickin
on fast forward, but I want to do it at the file level so that if
play the file in my mp3 player, it plays back faster
Thanks in advance to anyone with answers.

I've tried this program. It has a flaw.
When changing tempo the pitch DOES change. It is not supposed to but it does.
I have found that the beta version of "Audacity" from sourceforge functions well.
