I have changed the background in the folders using the desktop.ini folder,
all my files are compressed and the font is blue (showing the files to be
compressed in Xp) Is there a way to change this color?

No, I don't think so. Although you can turn off the option to show you
compressed/encrypted files in a different color. What's so bad about blue?

Oh - also, why are all your files compressed?

Yes you can change the color by using TweakUI...
http://tinyurl.com/2meyw (tweakui.exe on the right hand side of page)
Once installed go to Explorer>Colors>Encrypted Files click on the tab to
chnage the color.

Use TweakUI - one of the XP Powertoys from
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/pro/downloads/powertoys.asp

Once installed you will find it in Start - All Programs - Powertoys for
Windows XP

Its Explorer - Colors page allows the change
