Changing folder right-click context menu from Music to Standard

J

Jeff G

I am running Windows XP SP1.

My problem is that I want to organize a folder by 'Modified" so I can
see what the newest files/folders are.

But because the folder contains nearly all .mp3 files, the right-click
context menu will only allow me to sort by such categories as Type,
Artist, or Year. Which doesn't help me much, since my purpose is to
backup my recent acquisitions to DVD.

Can somebody tell me how to change the folder type so that I get the
standard right-click context menu?

Thank you for your time,

Jeff G

Jeff,

You don't have to change the folder template. From the View menu, select
"Choose Details..". Put a checkmark near the "Date Modified" column.

If you want to change the folder type:
1. right click an empty area in the folder
2. Choose "Customize this Folder"
3. In "What kind of folder do you want", choose the folder template that
best suits you ( In this Case "Document")
