Changing file extensions

I received a CD full of photos that were renamed and have no file extensions
at all. My question is there a way to add a .jpg file extension to hundreds
of photos without spending hours renaming the files one by one?

===================================

If you copy the files to a folder on your hard drive
are the extensions still missing? Can you View
the photos as they are?

Are you sure the extensions are missing or is it
possible that a setting needs to be changed.

Open a folder and go to...Tools / Folder Options /
View tab...Uncheck the box,
"Hide Extensions For Known File Types" / Apply / OK.
