Changing Display colors between a soft blue and white.

JER

I would like to be able to quickly change screen colors. My wife prefers
white, and I, a soft blue. I should be able to hold these colors, once
selected and quickly then quickly change if the wife wants to use the PC.

I begin with Start/Settings/Control Panel/Display/Appearance/Advance/Window
(from drop down men)/Color 1/Other/Add To Custom Colors.

It seems that once I have the custom blue color selected, I cannot save this
setting so as to go back to it later. I have to go back and plug in all the
numbers to get my preferred color screen. My selection just does not seem to
save. If after selecting "my blue" I go back and select the white
screen/window for the wife ... my preferred blue screen/window is not there
for selection when I try to switch back again..

For example: This is the combination I use for the blue.
Hue 141 Red 58
Sat 115 Green 109
Lum 105 Blue 165

How can I work things out so as to be able to quickly go back and forth to a
pre-selected custom color?
With much appreciation,

Jerry

This is one reason why you set up multiple users on the computer. Each user
can set there display the way they want as well as many other things. So
each person has it own user, settings, desktop, everything. You set yours
the way you want and she can set hers the way she wants. To add users, goto:
control panel, users.

Thanks for the reply. I have posted this question before. Always the same
response. No specific answer, however, to the detailed question I posted.
Every one goes around the question and recommends the Additional User setup.
I hesitate to set up an additional user. Have you any idea how many separate
settings have to be adjusted for each piece of software that is installed,
not to speak of all the different XP settings. If I set up my wife as and
addition user, then I have to go through all of these individual programs
and make adjustments. We both (wife & I) agree and are happy with all of the
other settings. I just need an adjustment with this one because of my eyes.
Cannot focus on bright white screen. Now to my question (smile) ... How do I
............... allow for a quick change of screen colors. Thanks again for
any input from anyone

Actually, Jerry, you got the answer. You just didn't like it. Set up a
new user account for your wife. Setting up a new identical user in XP
is trivial. Here's a link to show you how:

Thank you for your response. I appreciate your desire to help. I could not
find anything, however, at the link you reference to show how to set up an
identical user account. I am back to square one. Any additional help would
be appreciated

Do some research here:

Also, Windows XP has a really good Help & Support feature built in.

You don't. There is no way to do what you want in xp. Except, set up two
users. As far as xp settings, there isn't all that much to do to get a new
user like yours. And as for programs, they are usually not user specific.
All programs installed on the machine are available to all users. Once you
open the app and set it up like you want it, it should/will be that way for
any other user as well.
