Changing default paper size?

Would you guys let me know how to change default paper size for every
application in Windows XP? I am using Korean version of Windows XP, which
sets default paper size as A4, Asian and Europe standard. But, since I live
in North America, I need to change it to LETTER size. I'm tired of changing
paper setup every time I make documents.

Start - Printers and faxes
Right click on your printer and select printing preferences
Here, you can change your defaults.

BTW, I know how to change the paper size for printer. I want to know how to
change default paper size in the applications, i.e. MS Word.
