Changing Column Titles in Excel

I want to change the column headings from "A, B, C...etc" to actual
names/titles so that "A" becomes "Serum Code" and "B" becomes "Pt. Code" and
so on. How do I do that?

HI
You can't change the column headings but you can use the first row to create
your heading and hide the top heading by going to > Tools > Options > View
and uncheck Rows&Column Heading

The column headers are either number or letters. Most applications use row
#1 to hold the "real" titles.
