Changing Autofill Preferences Outlook 2002

Al

Is there anyway to reset the autofill choices that are
presented when one addresses an email in Outlook 2002?

I have deleted the contacts from the address book but
autofill still suggests names/addresses that I no longer
have.

Thanks in advance.

Either delete the suggestions one by one as they pop up or delete the entire
..nk2 file associated with your profile.

Where is the N2K file stored?

Make certain that you turn on Advanced Search Functions and check Hidden and
System files.

Next, search for the file name *.nk2.

Usually, on newer versions of Outlook (though not always???) the file name
is Outlook.nk2. Further, it is usually found in your Documents and Setting
Folder.
(Make certain that in your Folder settings, you can view hidden and system
folders.)

Here's where you can look:

Docs and Settings\Your login user name\applications\Microsoft\Outlook.

When you go to that directory, there should now be at least two files,
Outlook.nk2 and Outlook.bak. It is this latter file that our software
created as a safety net for you. If you'd like to send that file to us,
we'll see if we can find out what is wrong with it.

The NK2 files is named <youroutlookprofilename>.nk2. Further, it is found

We developed a utility that will enable you to edit this file. It can be
found at www.dcs-imaging.com/products.htm
