Changing abbreviated dates

How do I change the default abbreviated dates in Access? For instance, I have a birth date field and I would like this to go from 1910-2009 rather than 1930-2029 as all the fields in the database are more concerned with the past than the future. This means that for some individuals it is arriving at negative ages for key events

thanks

Sorry, this is built in. The only thing I can think of is to use 4 digit
years everywhere.
