Changed email attachment and saved in email. Can't access info!

haste makes waste

I opened and added 7 pages of notes to an email attachement. I forgot to
"save as", rather saved the changes onto the attachment. I can locate the
document in "my computer", but cannot open it. This information is very
important. Help!

Thank you so much for your prompt and helpful reply. The instructions you
provided made complete sense; unfortunately my system did not offer the same
prompts halfway through the process. I neglected to mention that I am using
Windows XP; I tried that path as well, but even those prompts did not
resemble mine after a point. I also underestimated the significance of the
fact that my "lost" document, which shows up in my recent files window and in
an internet "hidden file" format under "my computer" is located in an "F"
drive, which does not exist. I'm guessing I am cooked. But thank you once
again for your help. Best regards

What happens when you try to open it? See http://slipstick.me/temp for the
location of the securetemp folder and how to open it.

What version of Outlook? Can you copy the path from the recent files and
paste it here?

Outlook 2007

Could not paste, but here are the two paths from the internet ("e") files
that showed up under a hidden files search:

file:///C:Documents%2520and%2520Settings/Owner/My%2520Documents/innovation%25202/Trade%2520Policy/Trade%2520Working%2520Group%252010%2520Sept%25202009%agenda.doc

file:///F:Trade%2520Policy%2520Working%2520Group%252010%2520Sept%25202009%agenda.doc

The message below each path was:
The specified path does not exist. Check the path and then try again.

Thank you so much for continuing to try to help me. I suppose its possible
that I never once saved during the hour long teleconference. However I do
this for a living and saving regularly is almost like breathing. Thanks again
and best regards.
