I want to make the default view for saving pictures as Details. I DO NOT
WANT TO SEE THE THUMBNAILS EVERYTIME I SAVE A PICTURE MICROSOFT. The
information below was something from a previous post and my response to it.
Is there ANYWAY MICROSOFT TO CHANGE THE DEFAULT VIEW FOR SAVING PICTURES TO
DETAILS VIEW. I DO NOT WANT TO SEE THE THUMBNAILS VIEW. THIS IS ANNOYING AS
HELLLLLLLL!

When I go to http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/xp_tweaks.htm and I find the Set
Detail View for all Folders Open/Save As (Line 85, Left) it takes me to the
following link http://www.cottonwoodsw.com/fx3summ.html for a file called
File-Ex. Am I missing something here! I don't want to have to pay for
something for which I already paid a bundle to get XP in the first place. I
want to disable the thumbnails view everytime I save a picture from the
internet. Why doesn't microsoft get that!

Hi,
Try this... Open a folder. My Pictures will do. Select Details view. Click
on Tools> Folder Options> View> Apply to All Folders> OK. Also, under
Advanced, check Remember each folder's view settings.

If you do select Thumbnails view occasionally, you might want to switch back
to Details view before closing that folder.

Hope this helps,
Don
