change scroll speed?

Hi Folks!

Is there any way to adjust the scroll speed of a scroll bar?

You can "grab" the "slider" with a mouse and control the speed that way,
but.....

Can you adjust the speed when you click and hold the directional buttons
(Up-Down, Left-Right) ?

Please don't tell me about the mouse scroll wheel. That's not what I'm
asking about. The only info I can find in Help is about the mouse scroll
wheel. I'm not interested in the mouse scroll wheel!

Thanks
Biff

I suppose this is REALLY important, is it?

Try clicking the mouse wheel and up/down arrows will appear on the screen.
Move the mouse a small amount in the direction you want to scroll. Move it
a bit more if you want it to scroll faster.

try this:

start - control panel - printers and other hardware - mouse - select the
wheel tab, here increase or decrease - out with ok

Thanks. Yeah, I know about that. I was thinking there should be an operating
system setting to do this. Maybe there isn't?

Maybe a registry setting?

The OP doesn't want to know about the Mousescroll wheel - he already said
that is not what he's asking about.

Depends on the keyboard you're using; I have the cordless MS desktop elite,
and the scroll speed is changed in the MS Intellitype software.

Check the settings for your keyboard. My keyboard is the MS Desktop Elite,
and the Intellitype software has such an option for changing the scroll
speeds.

So....check the driver/software for whatever keyboard you use. If it is any
of the MS keyboard models, I'm sure the version of Intellitype you have will
have this option.

Thanks. That's the right place to look (I would never have thought the
keyboard controls that) unfortunately my keyboard doesn't have a setting for
scroll speed. It has options for other speed related things, but not scroll.

Thanks for your time!
